Kid’s Toy Room Makeover
YOU GUYS! The Kid’s Toy Room is finally organized thanks to Neat Method and it feels So. Dang. Good. Since we moved into the house a year ago I’ve wanted to clean up this room, but I didn’t even know where to start. Toys were overflowing out of baskets with no real order and it drove me crazy. Check out the before photos…I meant it ain’t pretty.
This is a disaster. I’m embarrassed I let it get like this!
Let me just say that Jackie from Sacramento Neat Method is a freakin’ game changer. Every single doll, little car, tiny dinosaur, puzzle and game...they all have a home now, a neatly labeled compartment. Even the books are organized in rainbow color! It’s next level Marie Kondo!
Jackie is sharing her Top 3 Tips to help keep your kiddos NEAT!
Purge and hide! Don't be afraid to purge the half a plastic easter egg or the broken toy from the goodie bag 4 months ago while the kids are away.
Categorize and label! Create categories the make sense and are easy for the kids to understand and then label so they will return the toys to the proper spot. Can't ready yet, that's ok try adding picture or stickers along with the words.
Bins! Use the right bins for the right toys, small toys small bins, big toys big bins. If you put small toys in big bins you are asking for a dumping ground.
The entire process was so simple and easy for me…mostly because I didn’t have to lift a finger. Jackie and her team swept in and in a matter of a few hours our once disastrous toy room is a clean and tidy space perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Thanks to a partnership with Ruggable, we added this amazing area rug that’s waterproof, stain resistant and you can even throw it in the washing machine!! I’m not worried if the kids have a messy snack here because I know it’s super easy to clean! #momwin This is the perfect lil spot for snacking, art projects and down the road homework. The kids absolutely love the new and improved space; playing with their toys more than ever AND putting them away when they’re through. Like whoa.
I am so obsessed with our organized, tidy and super cute Kid’s Toy Room...my levels of “Joy Sparking” are off the charts!
